HOW TO CONTRIBUTE AND REDUCE YOUR FOOTPRINT

Take the bus. Ride a bike. Lower the temperature in your home a few degrees. Buy produce that hasn’t been shipped across hemispheres. Most people have heard these simple solutions before and assume that such small changes won’t make a difference. But an entire nation committed to small lifestyle changes adds up to a significant reduction in carbon usage. Widespread societal transformation begins with the actions of a small but dedicated group that actively embrace a more sustainable lifestyle.

EMA also is in need of donations to support its programs. EMA is a grant-funded program that relies, in part, on the support of donors—individuals who enthusiastically support NAU’s role as a nation-wide model of carbon reduction. The EMA Foundation is a 5019(c)3 non-profit, so your donation is tax-deductible.

Education is another fundamental element of carbon reduction. The students of today are the elected officials, CEOs, and entrepreneurs of tomorrow, so education now will help implement global warming solutions much faster. If you have experience in education or have expert knowledge of a pertinent field, you can help educate the future leaders of the nation. EMA always needs help spreading the news!

Fund a research project. Climate change is one of the most important topics of our generation, so NAU graduate and undergraduate students are always looking for opportunities to contribute to this growing and innovative field.

Check out EMA’s “How to Contribute” for even more ways to participate with EMA’s many programs!
