EMA Monitor Newsletter

The EMA Monitor is a bi-annual newsletter produced to update the public on EMA’s most current projects and accomplishments. Each issue features one of EMA’s major research programs, a brief glimpse at ongoing projects, a short biography of one of the EMA Board members, and a calendar of events.

The spring 2006 Monitor features an overview of the San Juan Science and Recreation
Program and a biography of Bill Cordasco, President of Babbitt Ranches and the EMA Foundation.

The spring 2005 Monitor announces the acquisition of EMA’s San Juan River Permit, a generous gift donated by Arizona Raft Adventures President Rob Elliott. It also features the avian studies at both Sunshine Wind Park and Fossil Creek, the commencement of the Ecological Oral Histories Program, and the Feasibility Study done for the Wild Bill Ecological Center.

The fall 2004 Monitor celebrated the first year of the EMA Program, and the inauguration of several research projects that set the tone for many of EMA’s subsequent programs. It discusses the formation of the Science Advisory Panel and the creation of the GIS based Southwest Ecological Center and land-ownership maps of northern Arizona.
