PROGRAMS

In our efforts to link land managers and owners with scientific research and monitoring, EMA has developed a broad array of programs that address multiple management issues. These include riparian and river resource management, alternative energy sources, avian and bat inventory, an ecological oral history project that taps into the on-the-ground knowledge of old-timers in northern Arizona, a climate stabilization project that is run by NAU students, as well as various other programs. In addition, we are working to secure funding to build the Wild Bill Ecological Center, a sustainable building complex located west of Flagstaff that will be used by researchers, students and the public as they collaborate on issues of importance on the Colorado Plateau.
