Research

EMA's mission is to link the research needs of private land owners and public land managers in the Southwest with researchers at Northern Arizona University and other institutions to guide sound, science-based management of these lands.

EMA conducts a wide variety of research projects. These include conducting inventory and research along the San Juan River corridor, conducing avian and bat surveys at a proposed wind farm, and avian surveys at Fossil Creek and on the private land at Spur Land and Cattle Company. In addition, we are developing a research and resource management strategy with Arizona State Parks.
