STUDENT CONNECTIONS

One of the most important goals that any organization can achieve is educating future generations with the knowledge that they can make a difference and instilling within them a sense of responsibility, respect, and empowerment. EMA has embraced this duty and committed itself to connecting NAU students with real world environmental projects working alongside the region’s leading environmental researchers, educators and practitioners

Student Connections is a suite of student-focused initiatives:

  • Student Connections E-newsletter – a monthly compilation of diverse environmental jobs, internships and other opportunities with EMA partners and other organizations in the West
  • San Juan River Basin Program – a living laboratory and scholarship program to support research, academic coursework, and river guide training and cultural interpretation along the San Juan River
  • Student Collaboration for Climate Stabilization – a coalition to raise student awareness of NAU’s ecological footprint and educate the community about how it can reduce its carbon emissions
