SAN JUAN River BASIN PROGRAM
SPECIFIC RIVER TRIPS

The Ecological Monitoring & Assessment Program and NAU Outdoors at Northern Arizona University offer multi-day trips on the San Juan River that provide a range of multi-disciplinary trips tailored to an academic and research focus as well as team-building and recreation.

San Juan River trips can be designed for a wide variety of desired outcomes to meet the needs of each unique group. The San Juan River is an appropriate venue for groups to fund raise, team build, offer coursework, and seek adventure and relaxation. In addition, NAU offers a variety of academic courses (link to academic course page) that include use of the San Juan River as a living laboratory.

For more information on available trip or for creating a custom experience contact NAU Outdoors or Janet Lynn at the Ecological Monitoring & Assessment Program at (928) 523-0714.

NAU has also formed a unique relationship with Grand Canyon Youth, a non-profit organization that offers educational river trips for young people throughout the Colorado Plateau.
