Fortunately, Northern Arizona University’s strong and diverse environmental programs, Flagstaff’s breathtaking natural beauty, and the endless opportunities for outdoor recreation attract an unusually high number of talented students dedicated to conservation and restoration. EMA gives students the opportunity to become involved a multitude of programs that provide various types of experiences depending on the individual’s interests, priorities, and goals.

Climate change is fast becoming one of the most important topics that the next generation will face. The Student Collaboration for Climate Stabilization Program is leading NAU into a more sustainable future.

In conjunction with NAU Outdoors, students have the opportunity to participate in three to eight day recreational and educational river trips through the San Juan River Basin Program.

EMA Service Projects offer students the opportunity to get involved with local and regional environmental organizations and agencies.

EMA offers several need-based scholarships for students doing field-
research.
The success of EMA’s student programs has relied on the involvement and cooperation of campus and off-campus partners. Click here for a complete list of participating organizations.
